Oodrive Overview
Oodrive is a French secure-collaboration and digital-trust group founded in 2000 by Stanislas de Rémur, Edouard de Rémur, and Cédric Mermilliod (About – Oodrive). Rather than selling a single virtual data room product, Oodrive operates a suite of separately branded tools, including Oodrive Work (collaboration), Oodrive Meet (video/governance meetings), Oodrive Sign (e-signature), Oodrive Save (backup), and Oodrive Share, the file-sharing product under which its virtual data room capability, branded DilRoom, is offered.
Oodrive’s data room is not an in-house-built platform. According to the May 2019 partnership announcement and a March 2020 Oodrive press release, DilRoom runs on virtual data room technology licensed from Drooms, a Frankfurt-based VDR specialist, under an exclusive agreement that gave Oodrive distribution rights in France and French-speaking markets while Drooms kept Germany and German-speaking markets (Drooms and Oodrive Announce Exclusive Strategic Partnership, 2019; Oodrive simplifies and expedites due diligence procedures, 2020).
Oodrive does not publish pricing for any product in its suite, including DilRoom. Every listing checked (Oodrive’s own site, Capterra, GetApp, Software Advice) shows “Contact vendor,” “Pricing available upon request,” or an empty pricing field. There are no published plan tiers, per-user rates, or per-GB rates to compare.

This is Oodrive’s strongest and most verifiable differentiator. It holds SecNumCloud certification from ANSSI since 2019, positioning it among a small group of providers qualified for the most sensitive French government and defense workloads. It also holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 (information security and privacy management) and HDS certification for hosting health data, and states compliance with the EU’s NIS2 and DORA regulations. Oodrive offers a choice between its public cloud and a SecNumCloud-certified private cloud, and markets its France-based hosting as protection against extraterritorial data-access laws (an implicit reference to US legislation such as the CLOUD Act). None of Oodrive’s marketing mentions SOC 2, which is the certification most commonly requested by US-based buyers, reinforcing that its target market is EU/France-first.
